FAQs/Terms and Conditions

Am I getting the original art creation?

All artwork purchased at artsainu.com is a print of the original, printed on state of the art canvas textures using Glicee process.

What is a Giclee print?

The name Giclee is derived from the French verb "gicler" meaning to squirt, or more accuratelly in the case of artwork, an extemely fine spray of many different sized ink droplets.                                                                             This application of the ink in this printing process is so fine that there are no discernible dots or droplets on the final art print.                                            Because he ink is actualy absorbed into the canvas texture, the Giclee process embellishes the art giving the art work a look very close to the original.                                                                                                                         The high quality of Giclee prints can last up to 200 years without fading, and apprciates in value over time.

What methods do you use to create your art works?

My art works are created using Multi Mixed Media along with unique techniques I have developed exclusively for my art paintings/creations.

Mixed Media combines a variety of techniques, artistry and media in a single artwork.         For example, oil painting, watercolor, acrylic, colored pencil, highlights etc.

Why is the ARTsainu logo watermark displayed on each image in artsainu.com?

A watermark is a superimposed image, logo, or text placed over an art work or any document. Typically, watermarks are used to protect content and to claim ownership of an asset, and is done only for display purposes.

When your order is customized and processed for you, it will not have the watermark on it.

Will the colors of the artwork I am purchasing be the same as the colors I am seeing on my screen?

Due to individual monitor quality, {some are higher definition than others}, as well as color and brightness settings, we cannot guarantee that all shades of colors you see on your screen are the exact color shades of the actual art work you will be receiving.

To see the artwork/pictures brighter or darker, adjust the brightness level of your screen in  >'Settings'  > 'Display'  then >'Brightness and Color'.

Will all the artworks' inch sizes indicated be the exact sizes I will be getting?

All inch sizes indicated are as accurate as possible.                                                At times, the width and/or height sizes can vary by up to 2 inches, due to technical issues during processing and final production of your artwork.

Will the size of the frames I see in artsainu.com be the same as the ones I will be purchasing?

A frame looks thinner as the size of the artwork gets bigger.                                           For example, a 2 inch wide frame will be the same 2 inches no matter the size of the artwork you choose, however, it will 'appear' thinner on bigger sized art works.

Some of the frames that I see surrounding the art pieces seem to be a bit 'dull'.  Why is that?

This is due to a technical issue in our website only when frames are displayed.           However, all images of individual frames that follow each framed art piece, are 'sharper' and more true to life and will give you a much more accurate impression of what you will be receiving.

What kind of printers and ink do you use?

The printers of choice at this time are the Epson with the Ultra Chrome ink set and Canon with their LUCIA EX pigment ink set. We have found these two brands to be the ideal choice for printing our artwork.

What type of Canvas and Art Paper do you use?

Our Canvases and Fine Art Papers are branded by leading manufacturers for the decor and fine art industry.

We primarily use poly cotton blend canvases by Breathing Color. The canvas has an oxford weave giving it a natural canvas texture.                                                                                                                                                                      All canvases are primed {specially coated} to receive the inks used by the printer.

The Fine Art Papers also have their own priming or are also treated, to accept the full color vibrancy of the inks.

Will my delivered artwork be ready to hang?

All artwork delivered to you from ARTsainu will arrive ready-to-hang.                              You will not need to attach any hanging hardware to your art piece.

Is there a protective coating on your canvases?

Yes. All canvas prints will be coated with an aqueous coating to help diminish the potential for smudging and scuffing. A print in which the matte canvas is used, will receive a matte coating while a print in which luster or gloss canvas is used, will receive a luster coating.

Will my print ever fade?

Both Epson and Canon promotes their inks as being resistant to fading over time. They pride in that no one has contacted to indicate their print had faded.

How long will my canvas print last?

Your canvas print will last up to 150 years at least, with the proper care.

Your print is processed with giclee printing.                                                             Although the process of giclee printing has only been around since the latter part of the last century, testing and research confirms that a giclee print can have a life-span of 200+ years. Both Epson and Canon promotes their inks as being resistant to fading over time.
